Tropica Aquarium Soil Powder is a high-quality, active complete substrate with an especially fine grain size. It is ideally suited for aquascapes, nano-aquariums, and for designing the foreground with small and delicate aquatic plants.
Due to the fine grain size of approximately 1–2 mm, particularly small plants and ground cover can be planted more easily and anchored securely in the substrate. The natural structure made of volcanic minerals simultaneously offers favorable conditions for the development of a strong root system.
Aquarium Soil Powder can be used as a complete substrate and does not require an additional base layer. It is also particularly popular as a fine top layer in the foreground of an aquascape, while coarser Aquarium Soil is used in the back area.
The active substrate influences the water chemistry and contributes to lowering the pH value. Tropica also points out that Aquarium Soil influences the KH and pH values, which can create favorable conditions for the nutrient uptake of many aquatic plants.
Tropica Aquarium Soil Powder is the ideal choice for detailed aquascapes and planted aquariums where a particularly fine and natural substrate design is desired.
Benefits at a glance:
- Active complete substrate for planted aquariums
- Especially fine grain size of approx. 1–2 mm
- Ideal for ground cover and small foreground plants
- Very well suited for nano-aquariums and aquascapes
- Facilitates planting of small plants
- Supports good root development
- Made of natural volcanic minerals
- Lowers the pH value and influences water chemistry
- Natural dark brown-black look
- Can be used without an additional substrate layer
Application:
Aquarium Soil Powder can be used directly on the aquarium bottom. Due to its fine structure, it is particularly suitable for the foreground or for areas with small plants and ground cover.
Since the soil influences the water chemistry, Tropica recommends a water change of 25–50% at least twice a week during the first four weeks.
Quantity calculation:
Aquarium length × aquarium width × desired substrate height ÷ 1,000 = required quantity in liters.
Available in the following quantities: 3 liters, 9 liters
