Standard size not suitable? No problem. Our Terra-Natur glass sliding covers can be custom-made to your exact dimensions – tailored to your aquarium and to how you actually use the cover every day. Whether you have a small tank, a special format or a large aquarium, the exact internal dimensions are what matter. Based on these measurements, a precisely fitting glass sliding cover is produced.
Custom-made instead of compromising
Especially for custom sizes, older aquariums, DIY builds or tanks with unusual dimensions, a ready-made standard cover is often not a good solution. That is why glass sliding covers are available not only in common sizes such as 60 × 30, 80 × 35 or 100 × 40 cm, but can also be made to your individual dimensions.
Sliding front-to-back or right-to-left
Depending on the aquarium and how you want to use it, the sliding cover can be configured in different ways. One option is a design in which the glass panes slide front to back against each other, or a version with panes running right to left. Which solution is most suitable depends on the tank, the lighting and the installed equipment.
Equipment cut-outs exactly where you need them
A custom-made aquarium cover should not only fit, but also work with your equipment. Various customisations are therefore possible:
- equipment corners for filter inlets and outlets, cables or air hoses
- larger cut-outs for hoses, pipes or other accessories
- feeding openings, including additional openings or openings positioned individually on request
- different sliding directions depending on the aquarium setup
- manufacture in float glass or, on request, low-iron glass
Do you have a special technical setup? Simply tell us briefly where filters, hoses or cables need to run. This allows the cover to be planned correctly from the start.
Why choose a glass sliding cover?
A glass sliding cover combines a clean appearance with excellent everyday practicality. The panes can simply be slid open for feeding or maintenance without having to remove the entire cover. At the same time, the lighting above the aquarium can be planned freely.
A glass cover can also help reduce evaporation, retain heat in the aquarium and make it more difficult for fish to jump out. Thanks to the transparent design, the view of the aquarium remains largely unchanged.
Also suitable for special tanks and unusual dimensions
Do you have a shallow aquascaping tank, a deep aquarium, a Kallax tank or a completely custom size? That is exactly what made-to-measure production is intended for. Instead of adapting the aquarium to an existing cover, the cover is made to fit the aquarium.
Custom solutions are also possible for larger tanks. For very unusual dimensions or special technical requirements, we will review the design with you in advance.

- Send us the exact internal dimensions of the aquarium.
- Tell us about any equipment corners, feeding openings, larger cut-outs or your preferred sliding direction.
- We coordinate the design with you and the glass sliding cover is then manufactured individually.
The lead time for custom-made glass sliding covers is usually 5–21 days, depending on the design and the manufacturer's current workload.
