Blue jelly shrimp, Neocaridina davidi
The Blue Jelly shrimp (Neocaridina davidi) is one of the most elegant and at the same time easiest-to-care-for dwarf shrimps for the freshwater aquarium.
With its delicate, ice-blue body and often slightly translucent markings, it brings a calm, elegant splash of color to the tank, which is particularly impressive on dark substrate.
This shrimp is not only beautiful but also very robust. Blue Jelly shrimp tolerate a wide range of water parameters and are therefore ideal for beginners in shrimp keeping, but also for experienced aquarists who want to establish an active, colorful group in their tank. They feel particularly comfortable at a temperature between approximately 18 and 26 °C and a pH value in the slightly acidic to neutral range.
