The AquaNova black/blue background film instantly creates a clear, calm background and makes colors and contrasts in the aquarium stand out much better.

Depending on the design, you can choose between deep black for maximum depth effect or classic blue for a fresh, natural look.

The film is easy to cut to size, applies cleanly, and reliably conceals equipment, cables, and hoses – for a tidy overall appearance in the aquarium. Ideal for freshwater and saltwater aquariums.

The background film is mounted on the outside of the aquarium glass (back) – not in the water.

Assembly: Here's how it works (easy & bubble-free):

• Clean/degrease the lens (e.g., with glass cleaner or isopropanol) and wipe it dry thoroughly.
  
  
• Cut the foil to size (leaving 1-2 mm of space at the edges)
  
  

Option 1: With water/soap solution (easiest)

• Lightly spray the rear window with water + 1-2 drops of dish soap.
• Apply and align the foil
• Using a squeegee/credit card (wrapped in a cloth), smooth from the center outwards.
• Wipe edges dry, let dry for a few hours.
• Remove excess film with a utility knife

Option 2: Using poster strips / adhesive tape (quick, without liquid)

• Apply the foil and secure it at the top.
• Then attach it to the side/bottom with a few strips.
• Works well, but may show slight waves/gaps depending on the light.
• Remove excess film with a utility knife
