Aquael NitroMax Pro

NitroMax Pro is a chemically active filter medium from Aquael, specifically designed to reduce harmful nitrogen compounds such as nitrite (NO₂⁻) and nitrate (NO₃⁻) in aquarium water. It is ideal for use during periods of high biological load, after fluctuations in water parameters, during the initial setup of a tank, or when algae problems occur.

• Ion exchange resin : The medium consists of a specially selected ion exchange resin, stabilized by a filler that binds nitrite and nitrate ions from the water.

• Visibly improved water quality : Removing nitrite and nitrate stabilizes the water chemistry, which benefits fish and other inhabitants. At the same time, the risk of algae growth is effectively reduced.

Replacement recommended every 4 weeks (or sooner if nitrogen load is high)

Application recommendation

Time of deployment

• Especially after cycling an aquarium, in case of overstocking, overfeeding, or after the use of medication.
  
  
• If nitrite or nitrate levels are abnormal, or if the water becomes cloudy or discolored.
  
  

Application

Remove the bag and place it directly into the filter basket or filter chamber.

It is best to place it behind mechanical and biological filters so that coarse suspended particles are filtered out first and then the chemical cleaning can take place.
