Zeolites possess the ability to exchange ionic substances. They can exchange harmless mineral ions for toxic substances. The zeolite binds these pollutants within its own special crystalline structure.

1000g of zeolite is sufficient for a 500 liter aquarium with normal fish stock for a period of approximately 3 months.
After this time, the zeolite is usually exhausted.

Zeolite is sustainable and can be regenerated by simply placing it in a 5% saline solution for 24 hours.

After 24 hours, simply rinse the zeolite thoroughly with tap water and it is ready to be used as a filter material again.
