Colored gravel (natural/Rhine gravel) brings warm, natural tones to the aquarium – from beige and gray to slightly reddish – and its rounded grain shape creates a particularly fish- and shrimp-friendly substrate. Catfish especially love the smooth surface with its ample grazing area.

The gravel is largely pH-neutral, releases hardly any substances into the water, and is suitable for community aquariums, stream layouts, aquaterrariums, and as a decorative contrast to hardscape and plants. The smooth surfaces appear natural, without sharp edges.

Application & Tips

1. Rinse thoroughly before use (stone dust).
2. Lay out the layout dry, set a guide stone, mix sizes, leave negative space.
3. If necessary, apply adhesive dots and conceal joints with stone flour.
